We have currently collected 82.8 percent of all pledges made. Please help us reach 100 percent!

Two Options to Pay:

1. Send checks made out to DCE PTO in the provided Boosterthon Fun Run envelope or just a labeled plain envelope if you can’t find the other one and send to school with your student, or
2. Pay online through the link from one of the reminder emails from Boosterthon.

Due to a system update, Boosterthon was unable to process scheduled credit card payments submitted January 6 through January 19th. This only affects those sponsors that entered their credit card information at the time of a per lap pledge.

Sponsors will receive an e-mail to make them aware of the issue while providing them another opportunity to pay for their pledge.

We apologize for this inconvenience, and ask that you please advise sponsors to proceed with reprocessing their payment. THANK YOU!

Today the students met an avid endurance athlete, Winter Vinecki, in their daily mini movie called " GRIT IT OUT". She is the youngest person to ever run a marathon in all seven continents and she is just 15 years old!

We are 3 days away from the Fun Run! The teachers and students seem so excited to finish the program strong and celebrate at the Fun Run.

Today the students learned about Alex Trietman in a mini movie called “Rally a Team”. A Lego Lover, who built Lego robot figures with the extra pieces from his Lego sets and gave them to children who couldn’t afford them. He asked his friends to donate their extra Legos for this project and thus created BRICKBOT-BUILDING events with his friends called “BRICKSHARES”

Write a Plan, is a mini movie featuring Connor Ford. The students were excited to hear Connor’s story of creating " Jarvis" and how “write a plan” means putting imagination on paper to make the idea come alive. At age 12, he had the idea of creating a smart room where lights turned on and off on command, Music played and a personality called" Jarvis" powered his entire room!

We are still counting December Box Tops and will announce winners soon.

DCE’s Boosterthon Fun Run Character Theme is "Backyard Box Office"

It’s all about making a difference by getting into the character. It will take the students on a step-by step journey of how to make a difference in their world.

Boosterthon team have travelled the country to bring your students movies about real kids dedicated to making people’s lives better.

From inventors, to world-class speakers, to business owners, to world record holders, these five kid-difference makers will inspire our students to practice the five " Character Acts" so they can also make an impact in their communities !

What is our goal?

This year, our entire school is raising funds for New Playground Equipment! Our goal is to raise $15,000, and we need YOUR help!

How can you pledge/get more information?

FIND A NEED, is a mini movie featuring Aidan Hornaday, 13 year-old founder of AidanCares, a charitable organization that uses music to meet financial needs in the community. Aiden teaches us to constantly be looking for people we can help!

Great News! Coppell Education Foundation Funds 4 Grants at DCE - totals over $20,000!

The Coppell Education Foundation funded 4 grants at DCE. The Grant Patrol delivered large-scale checks to 3 very surprised teachers.

The 4 Grants are as follows:

1) Coppell Engages Literacy and Beyond – $7440
Used for all Subjects – 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, Instructional Coach
The goal is to extend the school’s reading program through the Capstone Engage Literacy program. The program uses lower primary textbooks with real world images, diversity and multicultural themes.

2) DrumFIT: Drumming to the Beats of Our Heart, Body & Mind – $6000
Used in PE and Music – All Students
DrumFit is an innovative kinesthetic program that engages every students’
entire mind and body.

Red & Black Super Star is a program started by the Coppell Education Foundation to recognize elementary and middle school students and CISD employees.

NEXT SUBMISSION DEADLINE is FRIDAY, December 9th!!

  • Elementary school parents can submit nominations at the end of each 9-week grading period for any CISD staff member on their elementary school campus they feel deserves recognition.
  • This could be for going above and beyond for a student or co-worker, ability to inspire, dedication to their profession and/or commitment to mentoring students or colleagues.
  • At the end of each grading period, at every elementary school, one to two CISD employees will be selected from all the nominations to receive a Red & Black Super Star award.
